The Shop Local committee educates the community on the importance of doing business locally to drive the local economy. "Shop Alexandria 1st" is a cooperative marketing campaign developed by the Chamber in conjunction with local businesses. Local businesses offer a wide array of unique goods and services; more importantly, the dollars spent locally rollover multiple times in the community and provide important jobs, benefits, philanthropic giving, and positive economic impact.
