The Alexandria Area Economic Development Commission serves as a confidential and cost-free business assistance resource and demographic clearinghouse for all of Douglas County.

The Lakes Area Fact Book is the organization’s flagship demographic publication and contains a compilation of information and statistics about the Alexandria & Douglas County area.  The Fact Book features economic indicators and employment statistics as well as in-depth information about local real estate and offerings for transportation, education, utilities, medical services, and other community services.
