The Land & Resource Management office oversees and manages the various land uses within Douglas County. It regulates and enforces planning and zoning (the Comprehensive Guide Plan), the Land Use and Subdivision ordinances, the Comprehensive Water Plan, and the Solid Waste ordinance for the County. All land use permits and licenses are obtained through this office.
Located on the second floor of the Douglas County Courthouse. There is public parking available on the southwest side of the Courthouse. Entering the building from this parking lot, there is an elevator in the lobby to take you to floor 2. Or if you prefer, go up the short flight of stairs and the stairway to the second floor is on your left. The Land & Resource Management Office is half way down the hallway to the right with a public access window on the left hand side.
