Community Organizations

The Alexandria area contains a rich variety of organizations which provide activities and social interaction for everyone from the hobbyist to the professional and anything in between. From arts and crafts to business-based organizations, residents and visitors can become involved in the membership or enjoy the activities of the many organizations including non-profit, service, social, and community, civic and professional groups.

The Chamber of Commerce maintains a directory of organizations in Alexandria. Other sources of information about organizations include the local newspaper and the library.

To Make a Donation
You may make a donation to Jingle Bells in several ways as listed below. All donators will be recognized during the Jingle Bells Telethon on Saturday, December 12, 2008, by having their name and donation scrolled across the bottom of the television screen, unless it is specified to remain anonymous.

1) Make a donation by credit card or direct withdrawal from a bank account online by using our PayPal Account. Go to the https://alexjcs.readyhosting.com/jb/MakeDonations.asp to make a donation

2) Mail in your donation to:  Jingle Bells, PO Box 131, Alexandria, MN 56308

3) Call in your pledge during the Jingle Bells Telethon on Saturday, December 12th between 5:30 pm and 10:00 pm toll free to 1-888-224-9599. See the Jingle Bells home page for more information on the broadcast. The telephone numbers will be provided during the Telethon. Pledge cards are mailed out following the Jingle Bells Telethon, which are then to be returned with the donation to Jingle Bells, PO Box 131, Alexandria, MN 56308.

4) You may also come to the Lake Geneva Christian Center during the Jingle Bells Telethon to make a donation. Some groups or individuals who have raised money for Jingle Bells choose to make an on-air donation, where you actually appear on-air to tell about how the money was raised for Jingle Bells. There is no need to call ahead to schedule an on-air donation, just show up the night of the Telethon at the Lake Geneva Christian Center and check in at the reception desk. On-air donations are aired on a first come, first serve basis.

The toy drop boxes will be set out ready for your donation on Friday, November 21th, and will be accepting your donation up until Friday, December 12th. Toys may also be dropped off at Lake Geneva Christian Center the night of the Telethon. Due to limited space, we ask that if possible, toy donations are made prior to the Telethon at one of the toy drop box locations.
