Douglas County residents enjoy an up-to-date library with a collection of more than 70,000 that includes books in many varieties and sizes for children and adults, video cassettes, DVDs, CDs, art prints, newspapers, magazines, phone directories, computer software and books-on-tape. The library also has a copying machine, online capabilities, computer lab, faxing services, conference room and meeting room available for free to non-profit community groups and a small fee for profit-making organizations.
The Douglas County Library Friends and Foundation supports the mission of the library through fund raising and cultural events sponsorships.
