Summary:
The mission of the Heritage Festival is to bring people of all ages together to recognize the cultural past, present, and future of our area and to celebrate the rich cultural diversity that exists and is developing in Douglas County, all in a fun, friendly, family oriented atmosphere. Bring the Family & Enjoy Heritage/Ethnic Foods, Artisans & Entertainment. Event runs from 8:00 am to 4 pm

• Ethnic Artisans & Food Vendors (Cajun/Creole, Mexican, Scandinavian, German, Native American, African, and more!)
• Face Painting of Flags of the World by the Brush & Palette Club
• Pony Rides
• Pontoon Rides on Lakes Agnes & Henry with Historical Narration about Alexandria
• Breakfast with Big Ole in the Fort Alexandria Annex
• Civil War Reenactors with Horses
• World War II Reenactors
• 1862 Civil War Flag Raising in Fort Alexandria
• Farm Animal Petting Zoo
• Procession from Fort Alexandria to 2nd Avenue Site by American Legion Color Guard, Local Active Members of the Armed Forces, Reenactors and Children with their Painted Flags
• Mexican & Colombian Folk Dancing by Nelly Delarosby and Bea Hadler
• Jacques the Explorer (Voyageur Fur Trader Reenactor)
• Show ‘n Shine Car Show
• Muzzleloading (Black Powder) Demonstrations by the Civil War Reenactors
• “Top ‘o the Morning” with Mikko Cowdery (Irish & Celtic Music & Storytelling)
• Deb Jenkins Band (Jazz & Blues)
• Annie Humphrey (Native American Music & Storytelling)
• Ross Sutter (Scandinavian, Traditional American Music & Storytelling)
