Concert at 6:00 but come early for a FREE Root Beer Float!
Music aficionados, or just those who enjoy an electric atmosphere, also should attend the “Root Beer Float Concert” on Saturday, June 26th 6 p.m. at Jefferson High School. The event includes free root beer floats, face painting, and informal performances by the Jefferson High School and the Notteroy School Marching Bands.

Parade begins at 1:30 and travels along Broadway from 4th to 14th Avenue
Prepare yourelf for a performance of musical excellence as 2,000+ talented high school band students display their pageantry, choreography, regimentation and musicianship! The Notteroy Marching Band will expose Festival goers to their unique European style. The parade is a competition so you’ll also want to attend the Awards Ceremony at Citizen’s Field located behind Jefferson High School. Continue the celebration as awards are presented and the 2010 Grand Champion is announced. The Vikingland Band Festival has been the “premier” marching band festival since 1985 and as it enters into its 26th year, you just might want to vecome a sponsor of this wonderful and enriching community event by becoming a Friend of the Festival.
